Read: 2 Corinthians 6:1-7

Present-day believers as God’s people could take on the same spirit that Paul viewed himself and the believers in Corinth as fellow workers of God. As God’s co-workers, believers should consistently take into account the significance of the grace they received from Him. By His grace, there should be fulfillment of all means of obedience. Believers should waste no time in sharing the gospel, for every moment is an opportunity for salvation. As God’s servants, they must practice and display endurance in facing challenges in ministry and life itself.

Food for thought

The dominant theme in this passage is for God’s people to keep the honor and integrity of the ministry. It must remain untainted from anything that would discredit believers’ testimonies and works in God’s vineyard. God’s truth, power, and goodness should manifest as His people are trusted vessels of righteousness through their message and service.

“Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do
not lose heart. (2 Corinthians 4:1)

For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man. (2 Corinthians 8:21)

Prayer

Our Lord and God, we are honored to be Your co-workers in Your vineyard. Help us overcome the challenges in the ministry. Grant us wisdom and strength to consistently hold Your word in honor and maintain the integrity of our ministry. By Your mercy and power, help us as we strive to be vessels of Your righteousness. Amen.
